Who We Are

President, Glenn K Robinson

Glenn Robinson recognized a need in our county.  The number one industry in Polk County is agriculture, yet he saw an erosion of support for local ag education programs and the under-funding of the county extension office.  He kicked off a grassroots proposal to build a centrally located Agriculture Education Center using private, county, educational and municipal funding.

Glenn retired from the Department of Defense where he was responsible for disposing of government property valued in the billions of dollars for 78 contractors in four states.  He also retired from the Air Force Reserves after 37 years.  During that time, he earned a MS in Technology Management and became the fire chief responsible for the training, equipping, and management of all 22nd Air Force Reserve bases.  He combined his management and government contracting skills when he served in Iraq and worked with the US Army, the Iraqi Interior Ministry and United Nations to build, man and equip 139 fire stations throughout the country.
Laura Robinson.  I see this as a joint effort between myself and my husband, Glenn Robinson.  Both of us have extensive, demonstrated expertise to push this project through.  I have an MBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia and currently am a Senior Lecturer at Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business.  This is my second career after retiring as a Major from the Air Force where I was responsible for acquiring aircraft and aircraft systems by overseeing multi-million-dollar government contracts with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, MacDonald-Douglas and other defense contractors.  At the community level, I was the Visual Arts Committee Chairman for ten years managing the local city gallery by scheduling, promoting, and staging six shows per year.  I gave that position up to become a full partner responsible for the business  side.
